On Tuesday, April 4th, members of the the WWBC came together for a special speaking event by Daymond John, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FUBU and star of ABC's "Shark Tank".
The group attending enjoyed a networking dinner before the event, and then proceeded together to Merrimack College to hear the story of how “the people’s Shark” grew his multi-million dollar fashion business from nothing but a dream.
According to our attendees, it was a very successful event…
“It was great to spend time with fellow members of the networking group and start with dinner first so that we could have conversation and then attend such an inspiring event. The speaker is such a successful entrepreneur and went through many hard times and sacrifices to get where he is. It was an inspiring night all around!”
- Sara McNeal
“I was so thrilled to be invited to this event! I truly enjoyed meeting the other women in the group and learning more about them. Everyone was so positive and fun during dinner! After dinner, hearing Daymond John talk about how he became successful from nothing was truly an inspiration.”
- Christie Leigh Bellany
“ Daymond was awesome and a true inspiration for us to “Keep Swimming” while taking responsibility and consistently learning. His story is amazing and built on persistence to succeed. He has inspired me to continue to set goals while building my brand as a State Farm Agent.”
- Jessica O’Neill
"I am so thrilled we could bring this social networking and educational opportunity to our membership. Not only was it an excellent event to learn from, but everyone who attended that night enjoyed connecting with each other and found it very rewarding. I look forward to many more of these events to come."
