WWBC APRIL NETWORKING MEETING: PRACTICING GOOD CYBER-HYGIENE

The WWBC’s April networking event at Searles Castle in Windham, NH was an informative meeting led by a WWBC member, Deb Vandeberghe. She outlined the importance of proper “cyber-hygiene” protecting individual’s important personal information and therefore protecting ourselves from cyber crimes.

Deb explained the creative ways in which these cyber criminals are able to steal our personal information and even sell this information for a great profit. This invasion of privacy has created a lot of hardship for its victims and Deb equipped us with simple techniques to improve the security of our private information. The members of the WWBC left feeling more confident in how to protect our personal information online and I am certain that several members went home to immediately apply these techniques.
